We found a ton of really useful information - see the info page - but while we found a lot of info on where people had been and what they'd done, the detail on what people had taken and their reasoning behind it wasn't as comprehensive. |
This page details what kit we're taking and our reasons for taking it. Bear in mind that we're in no way the authority on overland travel, nor are we seasonsed bike travellers, but we've spoken to quite a few people and have done a fair amount of travelling and trekking. More detail about our main inspirations and research sources are on the resources page - but primarily we've been using Chris Scott's excellent Adventure Motorcycling Handbook in conjunction with the Horizons Unlimited website and bulletin board as starting points.
